Hello, I’m wondering if you can help me or get my message to somehow that can. I have the Notepad 8fx and I’m using Reaper to record guitar solo stuff over backing tracks. My main problem is that when I hit record (on the guitar track), it’s also re-recording the backing track ONTO what should be ONLY the guitar track. I’m mic’ing my amp and would prefer to not use headphones. Although, even when I use headphones, it still does the same thing. It makes it very hard to adjust the guitar level because it also adjusts the background music. What am I doing wrong??

Sometimes you can find the files on websites O even on links on the description of yt videos. But this is rare, so you can just search backing track of anything on yt and then download the audio from. A third party website. Sorry for the bad English, hope this helps you

Thank you sir. For me in Reaper, I have to be in Audio>Device>DirectSound to play the backing track and Audio>Device>ASIO to record. Any advice on how to overcome this and record over the backing track like this video? Thank You

Can you import the backing track file to its own track?
@ohimswaggarr3 жыл бұрын
@@joetowers4804 Yes, when I'm using a mixer. That's the only time it works from me in ASIO mode. I can import, record, or play through the mixer

Good Evening. I have been facing the following problem for a few days now. For the recordings of the guitar I use the Reaper but the sound is heard only from one monitor, ie track and guitar as I play from a speaker. The paradox is that on KZbin or any other media player both monitors are heard only when I open Reaper it becomes monophonic. Obviously he wants some adjustment, I have searched, I have broken my head but I have not found anything. I use an audio interface the Behringer umc 204HD and the driver I downloaded for this particular card was the Behringer 4.59, does he want another driver? Anyone who knows something please welcome help. Thank you!

You need either a USB interface or an audio interface to connect the guitar.

I want to do something similar for recording good audio of guitar using my Blackstar HT-1R emulated speaker output into Scarlett Solo into Reaper with a drum backing track (or programmed drum tracks) and to later sync with the video performance of the same. I assume it would be best practice knowing my drum track bpm's to save them as individual Reaper projects with the correct tempos set. Some of the drum tracks I'm using may not be the needed duration so I'd have to cut or duplicate (copy/paste) drums based on the beat measures so the correct matching bpm set before inserting media would be important.

I'm a Reaper Newbie as well. When I try to record Guitar to a Backing Track, the Backing Track gets Recorded again on the Guitar Track along with my Guitar. How do I keep the Backing Track from showing up on the Recorded Guitar Track along with the Guitar signal?
@marcusnoel52644 жыл бұрын
I resolved my problem by assigning all Backing Tracks to a single folder in Reaper and panning that folder 100% to the left as Channel 1 and Recording my Guitar in Mono on Channel 2.

That doesn’t happen to me, when I record guitar I keep the guitar armed only . You might have both armed, not sure

I have the latest version of Reaper, and I can't hear my guitar, I just have to record it and then I could listen to it... what can I do?
@IsaacOLEG6 жыл бұрын
well, really basic, thanks, but you just add 2 recordings that are totally out of any sync with a time measure or tempo, so how may you add any midi instrument over that, or edit ? I did see tools that seem to be able to analyse audio and get a time signature and tempo from them, but was really unable to use them with success. Now to have fun your explanations are well enough indeed, but did you make a video on editing, manipulating audio files with a time frame ?

I use both, depending on the situation. If I'm recording, I use headphones, but if I'm mixing or just playing around, I use monitors or both.

Suppose the track is 115bpm how can i enable a metronome with that tempo?
@Zappabain Жыл бұрын
you need to change the tempo of the whole track, I think. But you have to do it before inserting the track or reaper will change the tempo of the track you had inserted (it will sound slower of faster).
