Geez, these tutorials are probably the most helpful tutorials on FL out there. Quick, concise and coherent. Grateful for everything you’re putting out.
@Xar0 Жыл бұрын
this is no where near professional mixing but a great place to get started, if you're really new to music
@iandoh5521 Жыл бұрын
@@Xar0 I could see that. It’s still a great place to start for beginners. Do you happen to have any recommendations on where to learn a more professional mix? I’ve been in the beginning stages of production, but I’d like to take it further and some references for direction would be a big help!
@Xar0 Жыл бұрын
@@iandoh5521 The honest truth is that, there is no standard tutorial for mixing a song. Every producer has their own style of mixing, depending on the sound they are trying to achieve in a song and the DAW. I suggest you start with short tutorials like this and move on to @In The Mix, he's one of the best out there and he takes his time. Then learn the significance of each plugin and Vocal Buses, Sends, Sidechain compression. Then go forth watching tutorials from popular producers like Mike dean or any popular producer from the genre you're working on. Most important of all, don't rush. Take your time. Start by mixing tutorials and slowly move onto beat making. Sometimes in the beginning you may be really creative but you may not be able to convert your idea into a proper song. I made the mistake of putting my ideas over quality and I still hate myself for it. Once you get to the point where you know how to work on quality music, getting back to your creativity will be hard so always experiment. Good luck my friend :)
@hiperego Жыл бұрын
@@Xar0 Thank you, I think i'll use your recommendation. Also why do you regret of putting ideas over quality? I mean I'm a beginner and "write" all my ideas in a voice recorder so I can come back later and try them but still interested why you regret
@Xar0 Жыл бұрын
@@hiperego Two things actually. So, my niche is somewhere in between emo-rap and post punk. I sing in most of my songs. When you're fixated on an idea, I realized I was closing myself to the idea and not experimenting more i.e., layering vocals or playing around with the chorus or etc. Secondly, every time I tried converting my idea into a song, quality wise it sounded horrible, but I didn't care then because to me- it sounded great. I feel like if I focused more on qualities first- those ideas would've been amazing tracks. You won't realize it initially because as artists we want to feel validated and we put those initial ideas out there, it's after you've evolved you realize. Now I can produce with quality, but I just don't feel like going back to those tracks. I guess every artist knows what I mean here lol. Start with ideas and experiment basically. Make sure you sound professional. Getting that professional sound is the work tbh.

For anyone who wants to know what plug in gets rid of all that background ambience they don’t want instead of cutting it out you can use NS1 from waves or RX8 from izotope but for a stock you can use the fruity limiter on the right hand side of the GUI there’s a “gate” mixer 🙏🏼 I prefer cutting it out but sometimes it’s not that necessary and a gate can tame that on its own

Next: How to Mix & Master your beats, ready to send them to rappers and make some bangers
@solowolfbeatsukАй бұрын
You don’t need to master them. All you need is a fruity soft clipper on the master and level your sounds out. Most drums are already processed and the only thing you need to do is cut your melody from 80/150 ish and maybe sidechain your kick and 808 but I swerve anything that needs sidechaining tbh. Only problem I had with it all is making it loud, until I came across a plug in called classic clipper by IK multimedia and now my mixes slap just haven’t been making beats in a min I learnt this coz I’ve been mixing rap songs but soon as I get back on beats they are gunna HIT 🔥
