I have to say I love your music and you KH1 cover made me want to play the violin I actually have one from my late grandfather and thanks for bringing joy during these hard times

Thank you Taylor for such a detailed introduction. I am working hard to practice my violin. Your achievement today is also the motivation for my current efforts. In fact, many of your original songs are very good, such as Soulbound, Ignite, Dawn of Hope, etc., I hope these can also shoot MV, haha

Ten years of 'at home' recording -- congrats on that. I first became aware of your music through seeing the collaboration you did with Lara and Malukah on Fear Not This Night -- 10 years ago. It has been a joy to watch your development as an artist.

Hello Taylor~~ Thanks for your sharing~~Would you suggest using a USB microphone to record violin for the beginner? It could directly connect to the phone or laptop without the audio interface, pre amp and the DAW, but I may doubt their sound quality in recording...

Yay, all that's really left on my list is a good audio interface. I'm hesitant to get one, because I'm recording drums, and I use tracks on my pc. I know with a lot of usb audio there's noticeable delay. But, the audio interfaces are supposed to virtually eliminate delay to my understanding. I'm also hoping I can get one with dual inputs and be able to assign those to separate channels in the DAW (Waveform Pro for me). Basically one track left, one right.

Thank you! What are your thoughts on a product like the new Yamaha Seqtrak? Would that fit in your workflow of recording and then mixing, or a good DAW could do the same?

This is good information and although I do know how the whole video production works and such this is stiil really good if I ever want to try and record myself with my ukulele

I would probably change the Focusrite Scarlet Solo for a Behringer UMC22 U-Phoria for half the cost. Or swap it completely for a Behringer UMC204HD or 404HD for almost the same price as the scarlet solo. It has better preamps, has less latency issues than the focusrite and with the 204HD or 404HD you can run up multiple instruments/mics

Those options look like they could be great too! I've had personal experience with the Scarlett Solo so I can vouch for its quality, and I like that it comes with Ableton Live Lite. I haven't heard of the DAW that the Behringer one you recommended comes (Tracktion) with so I can't speak to it, but I know Ableton is a really great DAW and having that upgrade path from the free Lite version is pretty great I think.

I've been having a problem when recording vocals or violin. It sounds okay, but if you use headphones, there's this weird static noise in the background, so doing a solo track would be awkward. At first I thought it was background noise, But it's actually coming from my interface. Should I get one that's better quality?
