Hello Duan! Thanks for the video. For the routers the procedure for resetting the password is different. You have to press the break key during startup and the router will go into rommon mode. From rommon mode we have to set the confreg value so that it ignores the startup configuration. rommon confreg 0x02142 then rommon reset. one loaded we need to copy the startup to running config. and from privileged mode conf t config-register 0x2102. and then save the configuration and check the show version to make sure the value is 0x2102. Any how you are the expert. I maybe wrong. But this is how i do it on rotuers. On switches its exactly as you said.
