How to recover the A pillars on a Jaguar XK8

The upholstery on the A-pillars of most Jaguar XK8s gets wrinkled and dirty over time. It's glued onto a plastic piece which holds everything in place. The foam padding behind the fabric breaks down and leaves the fabric looking wrinkled. It's easy to replace, however. I bought the fabric, which is headliner fabric, from Joanne's Fabric and Crafts. I think it was only about $10 per yard, and I only used about a quarter yard. Buy a half yard, just in case you mess up.
Also, the spray adhesive I used is 3M type 77. You can buy it at Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart...

The challenge here is finding the right colour (oatmeal on my case) and thickness material, the factory fitted stuff is noticeably thin.

I'm about to do this to my XK8 on Friday. All new roof lining as well! Wish me luck! Purchased a new complete new roof lining already covered so out with the old and in with the new!

I got the fabric at Joann's. It's a national chain of fabric stores here in the US. It's just headliner fabric, and most larger fabric stores will carry it. Joann's had several different shades of gray. They also have tans, black, and some other colors. It looks best if you recover the two A-pillars and the piece that goes across the top all at the same time. I have another video which shows how to do the piece across the top. Joann's also has a website, just Google it.

A regular old fabric store. Not sure if you're in the US, but I bought mine at a place called Joann Fabrics. They are in every average-sized city in the US.
