Hello, I have a bit of a longer question. Here a bit of introduction: I am pretty early game but committed to getting 2 bismuth nuggets for a Bismuth Laser Crystal. I've researched a bit and now I think the best way to get it would be to put any type of decayed nuclear waste into a silex and then use a few with a CO2 crystal to get a chance of bismuth suggest spawning. My question is: How do I get any type of decayed nuclear waste without a nuclear reactor (I have a few Rtg pellets of Uranium and Plutonium, a few nuggets and ingots of Uranium, Plutonium, Thorium and Neptunium maybe that could help) I couldn't find anything about that anywhere else... Btw I love your videos they're really helpful!

Well the thing is bismuth is kind of a mid game material which can be obtained by decaying most RBMK fuel ... Now if you have not made an RBMK then you can try and deplete your plutonium fuel in a normal Nuclear reactor and then recycle the fuel , however do check the outputs that you will get from that in NEI before you attempt that, I am replying you while I'm at work so I don't have my laptop on me rn otherwise I could've checked that for you Another method is to decay a Lead-209 RTG pellet as it yields bismuth directly , but to obtain that lead pellet you need to deplete Australium in an RBMK and to process it you already need a bismuth crystal In Silex so that option is out ... So either build a Zirnox reactor , or a big nuclear reactor , or an RBMK reactor to deplete your nuclear fuel. If you place Neutron Absorbers / Neutron Reflectors which are directly in line with each and every fuel rod then that should contain all the neutrons in your setup. Also make sure to cover the top of the reactor with RBMK cover panels. And if after that it's still leaking radiation then place down a Radiation absorber near it and that should keep the radiation in check

You process it further in a silex, using the NEI mod you can easily see all the ways different Nuclear wastes can be processed

There isn't much that goes into it man , I mean once you have made a stable enough design the reactor will run and regulate itself for it's fuel life before you decide to replace the fuel rods One thing you can do is to turn the reactor off before going anywhere so it doesn't run in unloaded chunks. Also having a few more water tanks than needed is a good solution to make sure than the reactor doesn't run out of water which is one of the main reasons why reactors explode. If there is a more specific aspect of rbmk that you wanted to know about lemme know !!

Kinda sucks we can't seem to craft digamma into pellet form. It's the only way to get that undefined item for the murky anvil.

Well that's cause no fuel pellet can be actually "crafted" , it can only be obtained by recycling respective RBMK fuel. So for example in order to obtain digamma pellets you need to recycle Digamma RBMK fuel rod which can be crafted by combining Digamma particle with balefire fuel rod.

RBMK breeding chamber works like a breeding reactor , you place an item which needs to be breeded in there and make sure it is in the path of neutrons / flux and the item will slowly convert over time. The more flux there is the faster the breeding process will work

no way to auto extract, your input atleast in terms of controlling the crane is needed, after that itemducts/conveyor ejectors can be used at the bottom of the rbmk storage column to get it out

So I don't remember exactly sorry 😅🥲 However if at any point in the video I've clicked on the RBMK control panel then it'll have the complete layout of the reactor and as it's not too big or complicated for that matter you can directly build it from there
