Are you Mining Bitcoin from Home? If so, with what hardware and how do you deal with the HEAT and NOISe!?
@NicholasJamesJohnson2 жыл бұрын
I am! Im mining with S19j Pros - one of them in a full immersion set up, and one of them in one of these same boxes except with ducting on both ends and inline fans to move the heat out of the warehouse. Its ANOTHER 10db quieter once you get the shrouds and ducts on (but then you'll need forced air, or a room under 80°f, pretty sweet!

I was. I had a few S9s during the bull...very loud and power hungry. Only ran for about 6 months then sold all.

Perhaps removing the fans with a different air cooling system will yield better results

What we’re your heat readings before/after? Did you see an increase with some air not escaping?

That's a huge difference. I can't imagine what actual deadening panels with actual baffles would do. Look up some sound deadening generator boxes. Most of those have sound baffles and those can make a big difference.

sometimes changing just the fans cn help to a different brand as most of the noise is all about the fan blade its self or as i have done fitted fine grills front and back this stops the fan blades chopping the air so much an making the the high pitched wine they have

Love the video. For the future when you show noise can you also show a sound spectrum? It's a really important measurement as it gives a lot of information about the type of noise. Something can be at 90dB like a lawnmower for example and still be more pleasant than a server PSU running at 70dB. I've had a minebox Servercase and the server fans were loud in comparison to my Octominer now. And also that 3300W PSU always had its tiny fan at 100%. That was really annoying. Well once you remove the PSU mini fan from that equation the 80dB from the larger server fans isn't even an issue. So seeing a spectrum would be great :-) if you want we can even generate these from your audio recording.

Really interested for you to test the upstreamdata Ohmm™ Black Box. Looks like it completey cuts out the sound and can be stand alone inside or outside.

I don't get it, only 10db less?? Does that make any difference at all?

It makes a larger impact once I hooked up the airflow adapters. Much more! Going to do that in a future video when I have the Shed and can setup proper intake and exhaust! Hyped for it!

in India as 230v is the supply, do we still has to Connect 2 inputs, or 1 230v only need to connect to s19/t19 miner ?

I'm not sure 10DB for all that is justifyable VS creating an entire room thats sound deaddon (I created my mining room a sound proof room)

he will do full testing soon with the shrouds that come with it. Reduces by about 20 dbs!

Any background noise above 50db is frankly unacceptable in the home. Even inside in an the industrial/workplace setting. I find the whole noise pollution thing a turn off with crypto mining and the fact Chinese ASIC miner manufacturers have not solved this problem in any serious practical way is a testament to poor Chinese industrial workplace standards to be perfectly honest...

well seeing how mining isnt really legal in china anymore they dont have to worry about running them at home themselves.
