I installed Almonard industrial exhaust fan 150w 18inch with a suction of 3900m3 /hr to roof inside a GI cone. Hourly it circulates almost 3.5 times of total air volume inside house. Close all outer windows and doors and only one opening remains open to let cold air in from outside which is well guarded with fiber glass mosquito net. While the air circulator in on mode, we don't use fan or aircons, just this one suction fan is well enough to cool the entire house. I live in outskirts of Ernakulam

To cool down a whole room, hang a wet sheet in front of a window that is open when there is a breeze. This will help to rapidly cool down the temperature of the room. To reduce heat in the bedroom, opt for lightweight cotton. These sheets are breathable and will promote airflow and ventilation in the bedroom. When the temperature outside is lower than it is inside, open the windows up. This will help to cool all elements of the home (including the walls, floors, etc.) that absorb heat when temperatures rise. Most important thing, plant trees surrounding to your house. The planted trees shade will cover a portion of the home, will provide relief from heat creeping into the house, as long as the sun will cast a shadow on the home.
