Thank you, my wife needed to print some stuff out for tomorrow but our toner ran out, took apart a toner that was just less than half full from an older model of our printer that died and used that toner to fill the new but now empty cartridge but couldn't figure out why the machine kept saying it was empty still. The info on the menu to reset the cartridge was the info I was missing now we can print again for a while until we get more toner in.

I followed a similar ink toner replacement video and took off other parts on the same side to remove and clean the roller. Do you have a blown up diagram for the cartridge here? Or know where I can get one? So I can put my cartridge back in my printer.

What was the point of adding a page counting chip? To let you know when to replace, or refill? IMO, brother should just start selling toner refill kits-- better than to leave this market untapped. Remember when regular retail had refill kits? You don't see that much anymore.

This is my second time refilling again your ink owl do I still need to shake all the old ink owl powder out of the cartridge like brother powder in the video or no need to shake old ink owl powder ?

It is still required to empty the powder. Of course, with the low toner error bypassed, you should print until the pages begin coming out faded. By doing so, you'll be able to greatly minimize the amount of useful toner being dumped.

@@InkOwldotcom Definitely agree with resetting the error to continue printing until fading. My 2395DW would not continue printing until reset, so I went ahead and changed the toner first, which was a mistake. I was surprised by how much toner was left in the original cartridge that I had to throw away. It would have made the job a little easier and less messy if I would have let it run out.

Can you purchase new Chips for the Refill of the TN-700 Series?

It should be possible to obtain and install a new chip to obtain accurate toner levels, though given the high cost of the chip, this defeats the purpose of refilling in our opinion. The printer works perfectly well without the chip. In fact, by not replacing the chip, you can print until the pages start coming out blank, actually using up as much toner as possible for even greater savings. It's for these reasons that we don't sell chips for this series.

What is the tape strip for?
