I did just now. My lighter refill can just got over and it's 3am here which means I cannot get another can or lighter for the next 5 hours or so. I used the propane can, that I have for my blowtorch, to fill the empty lighter refill canister. I also used some of the free nozzle tips which come with the refill can to ensure the path of the flow downwards is sealed tight. Used tips on both cans. Must say, I did get a little action. Shook the empty can which now sounds like there's liquid in it 🤩 I didn't keep going cuz a lot did spray out into the air. There's a factor of major pressure differences owing to more pressure required by propane than butane and also one of these cans are empty at the beginning. If I were to do this again, I would improve on the nozzle tip selection where the goal is for the donor can to "inject" the liquid gas into the receiver can. Hence donor's outlet diameter has to be adapted with a tip that would be tiny enough to easily insert into the receiver's inlet. Long read but please add to this

In the UK a lighter gas canister is half the price of a camping gas canister, i think extra tax?

Since lighter gas is more expensive than butane gas tank, that would be economically inefficient. LOL!
