Thank you, this will be my first time in a RV, it has a 35 gallon tank, there will be eight adults , for three days. Definitely going to need more water. We Will be on property without any hookups. So your video with the funnel is what we will use.

The key is securing the funnel upwards with a rubber band... Good idea!

I used a harbor freight stainless pump mounted inside the storage area of our old camper hard wired to the house battery with a toggle switch. We use a 60 gallon water bladder to transfer water to the tank. We can fill the entire tank in less the 3 minutes. I am about to do the same thing with our new 5th wheel. No hurting your back and no need to carry all of that excess bulk with those jugs. Bladder when folded up takes up a space of 10x12x4

Really! That is crazy. Did that bladder take up half the bed of your pickup? Where did you get it? Would love to learn more.
@Marcs-Adventures5 жыл бұрын
@@TheChicksLife When unfolded I use to put it in the back of my isuzu trooper. Back of a pickup would be a piece of cake. We would park our hybrid in remote areas to gold prospect. Then go to a water source like a fire station and fill the bladder up inside the truck and then take it back to the camper and transfer. I wish had a vlog of doing this, but I dont think that I do unfortunately. I do plan to do one of the installation in our new 5th wheel. I paid about $60 for this one. It's not 60 gallons but 45. Please dont EVER stick it on the roof of your truck like the picture shows! Im really not sure what their marketing department was thinking. LOL. The HF pump is a bit noisy but a work horse. I will try to dig up a link for that and post it later. In the mean time here's a link to the bladder. I'm sure you can find it cheaper. Great vlogs btw! www.campingworld.com/portable-rv-fresh-water-tank-45-gallon?CAWELAID=120030630000002770&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI-tqzgIfW3wIVx1uGCh2ucg7YEAQYAyABEgIM7_D_BwE

Great video. What type of funnel do you use? I’m looking for a solution when I’m tailgating at a stadium when I run out of water. Thanks for the video.

You can properly use an oil funnel

On our Keystone Raptor I either fill from the vent line or hook a hose to winterize port then put the other end in the water source. switch winterize on Heater bypass on Tank fill on Water pump on It will suck water into the tank.

That is fancy looking! But I like the idea of not having to rely on power of any sort to get the water in. Plus it's just one more thing to store.

Does your setup not allow you to use your water pump to siphon the water out of your jugs into the tank?

Brilliant thinking. However, I’ve paused this video several times and we don’t understand why you couldn’t put the funnel in the regular fresh water fill. We wish you had explained this better. We don’t understand this system because on our fifth wheel, our fresh water fill is higher and located next to entry steps. We bought a three gallon water bottle and my husband stands on the stairs and while holding bottle, rests it on the hand rail while I hold the funnel. Next time you have to do this, maybe pour your water in a smaller container first so you don’t have to lift all that weight. Hope the wrist is better.

Hey Cecilia! The reason it does not work to attach it to the regular fresh water fill is because it has to be pressurized. Your normal hose lines your screw into it have anywhere from 50-150psi. That is why I tried using gravity and then the drill pump first. When those both failed I found this solution. Does that make any more sense?

Does your RV have a winterize option, i believe that you can fill your tank using your existing water pump if you put it on winterize?
@ceciliapetrowsky25725 жыл бұрын
Fummins Family Nope. Water just gets pumped into your lines. That’s why you use it to winterize. It pumps antifreeze through all the lines.
@Roadschool5 жыл бұрын
Cecilia Petrowsky I’ve seen it work, just didn’t pay enough attention to see what they did to make it work.

Use your built-in water pump to suck the water out of the jugs. No gravity needed.
@TheChicksLife5 жыл бұрын
I don't think my current setup has that option. So I would have to do some Macgyver work to make that happen!

The Chick's Life - RV Travel if you have pressure filled system then just connect a hose to the inlet and then place hose into your jug. There should be a setting for city water.
@StogiePalace5 жыл бұрын
If you're talking about the same tube that sucks in antifreeze for winterizing, that puts the water into the lines but not into the tank
