I like to say to myself "Treat yourself like someone you love" specially when I'm going through a funk...
@chishionotenshi5 жыл бұрын
This was such a thoughtful video! I'm so grateful you shared your personal experience, because this advice always sounds so inauthentic without it. I always find myself inspired by watching others create things, my fingers get to itching to create almost immediately. One thing I will say is to switch the habit you focus on now and then. A deep funk can make you say to yourself, "What's the point? I do that all the time and here I am: still unmotivated." Start something new that makes you feel impressed with your accomplishment. I used to always doodle when I was in a bad mood, but when I was working at a craft store (a truly dangerous place to be inspired), I signed up to learn how to knit. With a $10 bag of yarn from goodwill, I've managed to create four new things. And finished them, for a wonder. Sometimes you need to feel like you DID a thing, and finishing off a long project is just right.

Omgg I have been in a funk since I graduated grad school! This was a well needed video! As extrovert I may seem on the outside, I have recently noticed I isolate myself a lot but locking myself in my room watching Netflix and Hulu. This video I hold close to my heart ❤️ I need to stop comparing myself to others and repeat to myself that it is not a race. I will soon start my career when the time is right! I am okay with where I am at! Now that I look back, I am the first in my family to have a masters degree! Thank you for this!

I know this video is two years old, but I could literally watch every single video with Paula. Paula: you are so real and relatable and I cannot thank you enough for you not only sharing your wisdom, but also your truth in being vulnerable. I've only started binging Passion Planner videos today, but I'm already a huge fan!

Paula, thanks so much for your vulnerability. When you admitted to being in a funk just yesterday that was when I wanted to listen to the rest of your story. For the past month I've felt kind of funky. Now I know what steps to take to identify my funky feeling. I have some work to do but now I can take ownership of my feelings. Like you said, "It's never easy but it's ALWAYS worth it!" I'm already starting to feel better. :)

I think you are an amazing woman! I just LOVED how you are looking forward to be a mother some day and using that to help you get out of your funk! As a mom and wife, I can tell you, my family is a huge motivator for me to move forward ( especially when I am experiencing some depression). Also having a great support group or a few people you trust is a great tip. I share that as well. All of these were great. Keep it going lovely lady!! You are awesome!😊♥️

This was really powerful. Thank you. I especially thought the idea of subscribing to content providers that speak to you in the dark times eye opening! When you are down, not needing to seek, but to know that you've created a feed that can provide reminders is so smart!

Thank you for sharing💙💂🏽♀️👊🏽 Great reminders to change your mindstate back on your path whilst still including those around you. Just finished listening to Ryan Holidays 'Stillness is the answer' and want to share his approach, to finding that inner peace and security to deal with your "funk" as you workout and take accountability for what you are actually in control of; to be inspired and live life in harmony with the whole. A great read and book to return to! Looking forward to working on a new layout in my passion planner in capturing new habbits through trackers.
