I noticed the MK808 won't let you forced regen on my 2022 l5p, but if I change the year to 2010 it will give me the option to regen🤔

I came to this video because I’m looking for a good scanner for a Duramax, I recently had code P20B9, so I replaced the DEF Reductant heater, now it’s showing 3 new codes, P203D, P21AB & P21B0 all related to the DEF level sensor circuit high. Is that built into the Reductant heater assembly? I’m thinking maybe it was a defective new part. What do you think or recommend I do next? Thanks

What model Autel scanner are you using for regen? Also, what was the other scanner brand and model # that you mentioned in this video?

Autel MX808 The other scanner is a Genisys EVO

I replaced the def heater a few weeks back due to temp sensor code, and a regen was attempted yesterday while I was out. The weird thing is that I added 2.5 gal a few weeks ago just before i changed the heater. But yesterday, I got a warning saying I only had 250 miles left. Then 20 miles down the road, that dropped to 134 miles, then started saying speed reduction imminent. I added another 2.5 gal then, but that warning continues to show after 6 engine starts. I checked my mx808 which shows 100% tank level, shows 800 km range, and that a regen happened yesterday. I'm just wondering if I should do a manual regen, to clear the warning (shows up as warning level 5 in mx808).

I would try a manual regen. Also keep in mind that these DPF has a limited life.

@@dairleautoclassicrestorati6892 Thanks! My truck only has 50K miles on it, but it is a 2011, just don't use it for much other than towing RV. I'll do a manual regen and see what happens...although all of those warnings scare me. hah

I bought the Autel 808 to do regen myself instead of paying the dealer to do it and if I get stuck on the road I can do the region in a parking lot. I tow a car trailer and can't get stuck with "low power mode" again. Quick question, when the region is finished, will the Autel808 tell me the % of soot left in the exhaust?

That's a good question. Mines indicate that it is completed. But it don't tell me what percentage.

I have the same scanner and it goes through the Regen but it doesn't clear the service emissions I have done mutiple. Mine will do the regen for hour or so but never says complete???

I tried doing a regen with soot level at 255% and it failed. Should I do another one? I ended up driving and clearing the code. Evenly in about 30 miles it has regenerate and mil never came back.

Sometimes the first or even second regen will not take. It may take you trying one or two times before it regen. You did the right thing by driving on open highway until it cleared. 👍🏽

Some Engine Codes will allow you to regen and some will not. It seems that you have a code that will not allow a regen until there have been a repair made. Sometime you made need to clear out a code before you regen.
