You're a nice guy, simple&clear. Thank you very much because it doesn't show how to in the manual, even if it say to look into that. By the way, I don't have the same model.

I got a new base for my phone. Same model number and everything. But, I can't seem to get them to synch up. Is it not possible to register the phones to a new base?

How can you find out if you have a second handset on VTech base

How about 1 base and multiple handsets for Intercom?
@Johnsolerokar4 ай бұрын
If you are talking about registering multiple handsets, I’d assume you’d just have to repeat the process multiple times until all of them are registered. I don’t know what you mean by “for intercom” but I can tell you that when all handsets are registered to the same base they will all be able to utilize the intercom feature.

IMPORTANT! For the I Series phones, i6767 or others like mine, PLACE THE HANDSETIN THE BASE FIRST! Then it Will Display to "Hold the find button for 4 seconds" and then you can remove it from the base to register...That was IT, I did NOT even have to Press or Hold the Pound key to register it.

None of this works for my VTech IS8151-3 cordless phone system (the "-3" indicates the number of handsets in the "kit"). There is no such button on my remote handset charging bases as demonstrated in this video. For that matter, there is no "register" anywhere in the various menus of the system either. Recently, one of my remotes stopped ringing when the base was ringing. I.e., the remote was no longer paired the base. What to do? I was at my wits end until I decided on a whim to pull the battery of the remote handset. I let it sit there for a full minute before reconnecting the battery. And just like that, the remote was once again paired with the base! No buttons, no menus, just remove the battery to "reboot" the remote handset, and I was off to the races. I think the 8151 is a recent model, and its pairing process shows how Vtech figured out a much simpler way to do the pairing process. Also, I think this behavior demonstrates how the remote became unpaired: by leaving the remote phone off of the charger stand long enough for the battery to run down. That's what probably resulted in the unpairing. When the phone was placed back on the charger stand, when the battery finally came back to life, the phone's electronics SHOULD have then paired with the base automatically, but did not for whatever reason. When I disconnected the battery for one minute and then reconnected the battery, the sudden powering of the system was enough to reboot the phone's electronics, triggering its automatic pairing process. Keep that in mind with your 8151 system: if you let the battery die in one of the handsets, it MAY unpair itself from the base!
