I am a registered nurse from China.I will enter Ireland to study for a master's degree in nursing in 2024, and hope to register as an Irish nurse after graduation. After I graduated with a bachelor's degree in nursing in China, I had no worke xperience and only had eight months of internship experience in a hospital. And if I study at UL next year, there will be no clinical internship in the course. I want to know, do I meet the registration requirements without work experience and internship experience in Ireland?

Hi, if you recently graduated from your BSc Nursing degree course, and did only internship you’ll hopefully be accepted for NMBI registration, they will ask you to indicate if you don’t have any work experience, cases are treated individually. Thanks.

I need academic assistance but I also want to be an Irish nurse. I am worried that I will not be able to become a nurse because of my disability certificate. Will nmbi deny me registration because I have ADHD? Will the hospital refuse to hire me because of this disease during recruitment?

Hello Ma’am, I would like to ask you something..I’m not a nurse or science background student but I want to switch my subject and study in health sector. So basically my question is, can international student from business can change there subject to science??? If we can, which pathway and college to choose can you please tell me 🙏🏻

In Ireland for instance, you can go for QQI Level 5 in Nursing studies, that’s a one year study in any College of Further Education. You learn practically the courses required for studying BSc Nursing in the university. If you get up to 5 credits including, Anatomy & physiology, Nursing Theory & Practice, you’ll gain an admission into the university with it. But you’ll also take an entrance exam for mature students and meet the CAO, point for Nursing. Good luck! For a Secondary school student they won’t take another any entrance exam but have to meet up with CAO points for leaving Cert. candidates.

After passing the Ielts or oet, or even before passing either of the exams, you can start creat an account with the NMBI to start the recognition process. When you finally get a decision letter, you can either do an adaptation or take the aptitude test to get the Irish pin.

It’s advised to have your Ielts ready before starting the process, it’ll make it easier.

The exam is only for two days. One can select the exam dates that rhymes with their plans or preparations.

Yes dear, the nursing board of your country will do that but you have to initiate the process with them.

For an international student doing top up degree in Ireland, they still have to go through this NMBI registration process, though getting the degree is an added advantage, and may make the whole process quicker. Thanks for watching 🥰

I guess their ielts requirement is fair compared to the UK since 6.5 is okay for any of the modules. I heard the take home is lesser compared to the UK. Am glad G2 don’t face much protocols 😊
