I thought it was very easy to understand. Could have shown a few close ups of the process. I was a le to rewrap my paddle without issues and it works great

comming from GAMMA Sports, I expected this video to be, if not the best, a very decent tutorial. You can barely see the wrapping process because Chuck's hands is all over the grip and far from the camera. No mention about tension either (unless I missed it).

But how do we know when it is time to replace a grip tape?
@CyberSonic1572 жыл бұрын
I'm confused. What's the point in using replacement grip when you can just add overgrip anyways? It sounds like you can either replace the original factory grip once it wears, or you can just put overgrip over the worn factory grip. It doesn't make sense to do both to me.

Depends, after a long time the "undergrip" will be indented by repeated gripping, in that case it might be worth it to change the replacement grip, even if you use an overgrip

And those overgrips wear out really quickly and you end up regripping w OG ever week or every other week depending on how much you play. The grip he's regripping w is rubber and doesn't wear like factory grip or OG. Not to mention not everybody plays w OG. OG is rhe part I feel is absolutely pointless. Especially if you have a good base grip.
@CyberSonic1579 ай бұрын
@@Al-Gore-ithm Well, I'm not sure what you mean by having a good "base grip", but the stock/factory grip will wear out eventually if that's what you're using instead of putting on OG. If you want to have a proper grip, you have to have some tack. It just isn't economic to have to keep replacing the stock grip when the tack wears out frequently because OG is much cheaper than a stock overgrip. Although, I admit that I'm unfamiliar with how the rate of wear of a stock grip compares to overgrip. I assumed it's similar.

@@Al-Gore-ithmAgreed... I just don't get the overgrip thing I just don't get the overgrip thing. Seems to me if the base grip get slick... You would just replace it with an entirely new base grip

Nice succinct video! I realize the grip replacement is structured around a right-handed grip. For me, being a lefty, it is my understanding that the wrapping direction would be the "opposite" to what comes on the original paddle- correct?

Hi Bill, you are correct yes!

It would be helpful to have a revised video that has views of you wrapping it up close versus being like 15 ft away from the camera. Plus some explanations of when you want to replace the under grip vs over grip. Thx!

Is over gripping paddle to get A thicker grip possible? Thanks
@GAMMASports3 жыл бұрын
Absolutley! Adding overgrips is an easy way to increase the grip size, but also adds weight.
@robertpaz99575 ай бұрын
One missing step: after you remove the old grip, the glue will be on the handle. Take 100 grit sand paper and clean up the handle, this will provide a stronger hold for the new grip.

the packaging says go to the website for instructions, and there aren't any, nor any links to videos. this one must be for experts, because you don't show any close ups, especially of the beginning and ending wrapping.

Poor camera work - you really cannot see how to properly wrap the new grip around the paddle, especially at the finishing end. I would have expected better from the manufacturer of the replacement grip
