Hey David, yes I personally think it’s smart to recycle some old content especially if it didn’t blow up the first time around. You mention it’s not the same style though, then I personally wouldn’t release it if you want to get your fan base excited, but only if it’s completely different. Like hip hop vs folk.

I still can't grasp one thing: why do the tiktoks before it's released? Don't you run the risk that interested people may not wait around and miss potential sales/streams? We're not really trying to maximize first-day-sales/streams under this scenario are we?

Im confused by the whole tunecore thing, so if you sign up with tunecore and they release your music on all these different accounts and you already have accounts with lets say tiktok, do they take over your tiktok account or do they make another one to promote you or does it just come up like an ad on tiktok, also arent you signing away your music to tunecore in some way, like do retain the rights to your music 100% or like a record label, do they own your music in some way, if you cancel your tunecore account do you still retain the complete rights of your song. also youtube are you allowed to still upload your music videos onto youube or do they take over that too, or does it piss them off if your offering your music video for free view online?

A lot of playlists like to get their hands on new songs. Songs that are fresh. I recommend getting a list of playlists that you can email on the lay of your launch and ask if they'll put your song on their playlist.
