How about Bootlegs. Its not a remix of a song... But its a snipped of an acapella from a song, that is used. Does Distrokid negotiate deals on that aswell under the umbrella of "remix"? Or do they ONLY "covers and remixes".

can you release mixtapes on distrokid? I am only trying to release the music, they are mostly KZbin beats so I know I can't sell them . should I simply unselect all the distribution options that would require a payment to put this mixtape out ? can someone please help.

If you are releasing a song with a beat that you do not have rights to make profit with, you can only release it on youtube with no content id and soundcloud, so distrokid isnt really even needed at that point.

Ever notice how artists like Drake's albums be when it's a double disk.. like how Scorpion has Side A and Side B... all 25 songs appear under 1 album, but the numbering starts from 1 to 12 then continues the tracklist with 1 to 13, making it 25, saw this on platforms like Apple music
