@@rukudzotanyanyiwa9505 Hi there, my name is Pino I am 75 years old retired and I always liked to sing Pavarotti style and I am taking voice training lessons > I am on my fourth lesson and I am surprised how well I am so is the teacher. I like the way you are explaining how to use the palate . Do you have a way to train a tenors voice or is it the same for all? Thank you in advance.Ciao Pin

I was a very bad singer with cracking voice and my mom is doubtful when i told her i want to go to a singing competition, but when i watched this video after practicing so much, i can finally sing properly and better. I won 4th place in the competition and proved my mother wrong, thank you so much! I really thought practicing makes my voice better.

after like a year of going full speed self teaching myself. Ive to realize. most "coaches" are full of crap. and nobody can agree on the naming schemes for anything. everything is called something different by someone else. thing that makes me the most upset. is breath from your diaphragm. most people get tripped up here. they overcomplicate it. instead of explaining the abs, pelvic floor. and making the SSSS sound to automatically get this structure in place instantly. like everyone breaths from their diaphragm. its the most ashine phrase Ive heard in this entire obsession. I got tired of it. and just use opera definitions. looked for people that can easily demonstrate it. and I started studying the body from all the muscles resonance, etc. opera is a good foundation, messed with throat singing, started playing with sub harmonics and overtones. within a year. ive been able to get really good at moving through registers, consistently, good belts. go from sub harmonic bass sounds and easily flip straight to whistle register. able to do some metal screams. and inhale phonation that everyone says will hurt you. but like everything else, stop if it hurts. beat boxers use inhales. there is no reason I should be able to do this after a year of going full speed, instead of the wavering interest i had before. lesson I learned. experts are full of it. exactly why "authority" in many facets of life is just a falsehood of trust. not saying some aren't experts in actuality, but so many aren't. its maddening. and people wonder why I dont trust experts and authority whatsoever. and follow my autodidact nature.

@@singwelltv I learned the basics of singing here in Italy, also about rising the soft palate and keeping the larinx lower. But believe it or not I didn't know they were two related things. So this also answers some of my questions. I can use mixed voice but still I am a light tenor so my chest voice is naturally ...thin. When I go into mixed voice it sounds a bit thinner ( I don't use falsetto at all). So maybe I can do something, making some more room in my mouth to give mi mix a bit more body ...because it just annoys me) THANKS.

So far he is the only person who demostrated the head voice. I knew that wasn't falsetto the moment I heard it. I finally discovered my head voice after so many years of tryna understand what it was, how does it sound, tryna find examples. After messing around by vocalizing in my lower range, the light bulb went off so quickly. I was actually doing breathing exercises and doing something different which is hard to explain wut I wuz doin. I jus kno I wuz hearing overtones in the note I was soundin off. So I kept going up and down. I kept goin up to see how high I could go. Dat's when I knew I finally figured it out. Started singin a Larry Graham song to apply this tecnique i discovered by accident. Had a lotta rust in there, but I knew wit practice it would strengthin further. My vocal cords would get used to wut I wuz doin. Fast forward to today, I'm not an expert yet but now I'm listenin to all singers dat have the same range or close, or singers dat I want to sound like. Such as Kenny Terry from Az Yet. He eitha is a bass/baritone or a baritenor. I'm fo sho a bass baritone. parts of his range I couldn't tap into when I was a teen listenin to this guy, I can actually tap into now. I just need to perfect it. I can actually sing parts in my head voice dat I normanlly would have to use falsetto to hit. I can't wait to start makin the type of r&b songs I've always wanted to write and record my own voice. My main issue dat I'm tryna work out is dat ppl say dat I sound operatic at times. I can't stand dat. I've neva had any opera training. However, I do listen to Paul Robeson. So dat's probably why thinkin about it now.

This is it. This is the exercise. I accidentally got here twice before and have been looking at mixed voice exercises for months because I *knew* I could sound full in my high range, but I could never find it again. I have been doing 100s of exercises and watching tons of videos, but I would always either have my soft palate all the way up or all the way down. It’s silly now, but I didn’t realize it was all of one or the other. The difference was immediate and I am so grateful for this. Thank you so much! I’m still working on the balance, I sound a little Kermity or hooty if I go too far in one direction or the other, but balancing it is way less daunting than finding it. I have never seen that exercise before and it is a game changer.
