The sole reason I like RE 4, 5 and 8 its because of the treasures and gun upgrades. I like 8 the most as it combined the gun parts upgrade from RE 2 remake and RE 4 and 5 stats upgrade.

I feel Wesker's characterisation would benefit more from being explored in a Code Veronica remake rather than Resi 5. Maybe as that game's answer to separate ways. Downsizing the number of QTEs would certainly be an improvement, and the inventory system could do with some work.

I only want the villains to have more depth only if Wesker is still hilarious. To this day RE5 Wesker is one of my favourite villains ever. As to whether or not RE5 is going to get remade, given how divisive it is, I've always thought it'd make more sense to remake DMC1. DMC can't really go anywhere storywise right now, so remaking that first game always made sense to me instead of DMC6, especially since Hideki Kamiya said he wanted to remake it.

I am replaying Re5 right now and i really need better controls it was fine with me when it came out, it was fine with me when the Xbox one dropped and it was fine with me 3 years ago. Idk what about me changed but i honestly need there to be an either/or relationship with guns and melee. Guns feel good for a third person game that old and melee is hilariously awesome. But the whole stun them with guns and hit the contextual Melee button doesn't make any sense to me anymore and i misremembered the game i thought this was the Re you could go melee only

People think they want horror and when they get it they call it boring and slow. People enjoyed Resident Evil 4 in spite of the very little horror that was in it. If they do this to RE5 and make it all at nighttime it will hardly be the same game anymore, and for the worst. I'd like to think capcom would find out how to do it but the fans of RE are kind of bipolar and ask for things they don't really want, so I have a funny feeling a remake for RE5 won't be for the people that liked the game but for the people who didn't, which sucks because its one of the best selling RE games.

How about we leave out the boulder punching completely? Just a suggestion. Totally agree on Sheva being more fleshed out, but considering how well they fleshed out Marvin Branaugh, I've faith Capcom won't come up short in this department. Yes, Lost in Nightmares would make a great prologue for the game and it's quite possible you nailed that one. There's also the inventory system, while not that bad of a system, it's a serious step back from RE4, so I would appreciate a REwork. Finally, Wesker was more fleshed out in Code: Veronica, which is the next game I think Capcom will REmake and possibly flesh out Wesker even more along with some other characters. Also, Code: Veronica is in desperate need of a REmake 'cause that game hasn't aged very well.

You know that you don't need to shoot it right? You can just yank it off. Unless you're wasting magnum rounds on it, it really doesn't make that big of a difference. Even then, you shouldn't be risking it, because a single shot from a magnum will kill her. Literally the only times I've fucked that up is when I try to shoot it off.
