It’s super to start a series like this, there are a lot of advices good to hear for starters! From my part, I would strongly suggest to get one of these removers - they are cheap but they can be rather useful, specially if you play a lot and use nylon stems. At the beginning I more or less destroyed a (brass) dart because I had a really sticked broken piece and I tried some not so good things (e.g. heating a needle and stick that into the end of the stem), while all I should have done was to by a removers for a small amount of money…

A tiny flat head screwdriver works in a pinch for the really stuck ones if you don't have a removal tool yet. Great video as always!

I bring my extractor tool with me to anything darts related. I have used it several times to assist others with their broken stems in the barrel.

I had two of those pro grip yellow stems on my new bolide break. Seem cheap. Gonna get aluminum ones instead

Great little trick. I have a Voks extractor tool that leaves a bit to be desired. I have been using the leather awl bit on my Swiss Army knife for years for this purpose.

And if the rest of stem sits too tight inside the barrel just heat up the tip of a small screwdriver and melt it into the remainig part of the stem.

Looking forward to the Gen2 Clemens review, his Gen1 barrels are great. I don't throw well with them, because I always have to do pinky out throws when I use them. I can't stop myself. haha Side note: Have you had a throw with those Ruthless "table top mini" darts (I forget when they're actually called)? Fun little 5g things that you can put your own stems on. I can't seem to repoint them though, not sure if the point/barrel is one piece or not. Have a few 140s with them, but 3rd dart always seems to float away on me. They fly really nice with some L-style kites. They're like

Lol to cheap to buy extractor tool ,even though they are super cheap ,I use my dart or if at home I use eyeglass screwdriver, this actually happened to me first warm up throw at blind draw tournament Friday night .... harrows supergrip carbon do have to say I wasn't excited about it but thinking I hope my night doesn't go this way ... got it out and took 3rd so all good 👍

Can you get different width stems at the collar just above the 2ba thread, my darts clearance classics in 24g have a lip where the stem screws into the barrel, so a marginally wider stem would stop the points impacting this area, if not i could file a larger taper on the barrels. Thanks..

I reviewed the regular Bolide 04. Same exact thing minus the black coating that will look awful after a couple months. Natural tungsten is the way to go on the Bolide's

Small eyeglass screwdriver. Heat with a lighter, push in let cool till stem cooled and screw out. This in lieu if no tool. I do prefer heat when ever I can.

My advice for soft tip players who can’t find a steel tip point to fix is to stick the broken shaft back to the broken thread and then turn. This method works unless the thread broke too smoothly.

Great content, but i found a set of Eric Bristow darts in my loft which have been there for 21 years. Was chuffed when i found them but to my horror 2 off the darts had broken stem stuck inside the barrel. I slung them but wish i had seen this tutorial first would your tips have worked may i ask ?

How to prevent or what to do if dart board starts to bulge specially in bullseye area thanks

Not much you can do about it once it starts but rotating the board often helps prevent that from happening. Make sure you rotate your next board. Especially when it's new. You want it to break in evenly
