Hi Sophia, so sorry if you're breaking cutters every time you try this technique, that sounds miserable (And expensive!). We've got a lot soft metal buttons in stock so for this demonstration we went with a pretty lightweight pair of jewelry cutters, but it sounds like you're working with buttons made out of harder stuff. You might need to grab yourself some industrial strength cutters. We've got a heavy duty flush cutter that can handle up to 10 gauge copper wire: www.beadaholique.com/chp-milano-heavy-duty-flush-cutter-cuts-up-to-2-5mm-copper-wire.html If that looks similar in strength to the sort of cutters you've been using then it might be time to look beyond the jewelry world and head to the hardware store :)
