the plates comes standard and you can find them in selco and i think they are around 8mm

Hi in trying to remove a chimney just like this one to create a open floor plan. Can i remove the bricks on the first level and the section in the attic without removing the bricks running through the second floor bedrooms?

yes you can but you will need an rsj to hold the chimney on the floor above

I am looking at taking my chimney out in the loft it is 1m wide and 40cm deep do I need to use acro to support while I get the gallows in or can I nock the row out ?

Hi.You can install the gallows barakets then take out the remaining part of the bricks from the chimney and slide the metal plate in with the L shpe braket. Some of the first rows might fall so you will need to put them back fter intalling everything. Before strting with the demolition you need to assess the brick work in the loft , if they are loose you need to tke more precautions as the entire thing is just going to fall down. Hi doing this to my chimney this weekend. Do you not need to strong boy acro the chimney. Is it all safe to take out the way you do in your videos with no supports till the gallows go in . I would rather do it your way with no acro in the way. Mine is only 480mm wide and 350 off wall so small 1.

dont worry with doe's mesures you are safe just make sure that the brickwork it's not loose
