IT WORKED!!! I have an old pc from Lenovo, 2010 or something and was locked so I removed cmos batter for 30 seconds then put it back in,and changed the jumper wire thing and booted it waited another 30 secong then reput the jumper to orignal position . Spammed f2 and f1 and it works !! Reply for a more detailed and more correct grammer

Some newer laptops don't have backdoor passwords. Keep that in mind when setting one up. Make sure you have backed up someplace safe

That depends on my manufacturer but if u bull the button battery that T controls the frame are mem it will cleare the coms setting them back to factory default

Update: I resolved my problem by unplugging the power to my laptop and replugging it. As I repowered it, I spammed my f2 button and that seems to bypass the supervisor password and goes directly to bios. From there I can change my password and fix the bios like I needed to. For me, for reasons unknown, my system was having error detecting my boot drives. So I tried lots of rearranging boot devices to no avail. Finally I enabled UEFI in my bios boot setting. Voila that reverted back to my normal startup process. I don't know what randomly caused my boot error, but uefi enabled fixed it.

@@memes5073 In the bios settings is where you find the options to change passwords. For me, f2 opens bios. Maybe it's a different button on your machine? Once in bios there should be a tab for Security. The Set Suporvisor Password is there. Hope that helps.

Should work, make sure you pick the the right password for your brand after you lunch in the code. Maybe try a few of the generated codes

Yes most all of them do. You can take out the cmos battery for a month or so and a lot of times it will also take it out.

To boot to windows bypassing the bios password, I hold the power button until the computor shuts down. Then I restart and it boots up like normal without asking for the bios code. I have other issues where I need to actually access my bios setting and I cannot remember the password! I'll look for that code but I heard that it doesn't apply to every laptop.

You can't on a laptop, on a desktop sure, but there's also a jumper on the motherboard on a desktop. And I dunno if removing the battery actually works 100% of the time tell you the truth.
