I found easier to warm the poxypol with a lighter and first cut on the guide leg. It’s a bit safer as it will not be the risk to scratch the carbon

I find it a lot more hassle doing it that way and as long as you can get the right angle of approach when cutting into the finish it's quicker to do 1 straight cut and remove. Also you have to be very careful with heat and carbon fiber as too much heat will cause structural collapse of the carbon. Be very careful adding heat. I would only do that with a tip guide where it is necessary. This is just my opinion and from experience

I found one of the easiest ways of removing a guide from a grays rod is to drop it on the floor in chesil car park!!! 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
