Nice one , really enjoyed that video always learn something from your uploads. Can I ask for a link to the rod holders you use when you travel? looking for something to take in luggage . Many thanks Colin
@gsp12 күн бұрын
The rod spikes are from decathlon. www.decathlon.co.uk/p/surfcasting-bankstick-bks-100/_/R-p-325670 You may find you have to pop the plastic bit off the top and grind a bit shorter to fit in your case

I'm not sure if those are the same type of spider crab as we have in the states but here, for any crabs, its normal to boil and season a huge pot of water first, then toss them into the water whiles its boiling. I believe it has a lot to do with the meat coming out in chunks rather than shredded bits. I use Old Bay Seasoning in a small seasoning canister that gets tossed into the water along with the crabs. Once out of the boiling water we iced them down immediately and peel them once cool, sometimes the next day. The spider crabs we catch here are mostly by accident and they're huge. I never heard of anyone here eating them but I can't see why they don't.
@gsp12 күн бұрын
That sounds good. I might give that a go next time round. Thanks for the advice 👍
