When pulling the trim piece from the A pillar should one be concerned with the air bag? Thanks.

You should be mindful of the airbag. But the airbag would need a electric charge in order to go off. As you can see in the video, I never even touched it. But if you want to be super safe, disconnect the battery and leave it disconnected for 30 minutes before working on any parts involving an airbag.

@@WorkingWithWimberley Thanks for the very prompt and thorough reply. I need to remove that trim piece to look at the sunroof drain tube which is leaking somewhere - water comes out at the left side of the dash dripping over the parking brake and hood release handles. I'll disconnect the battery to be on the safe side since I'll quite possibly be handling the drain tube right next to the air bag. Yours is the only video I've found that shows how to remove this trim piece. 👍

@@beegee22 You’re welcome. I actually have a video showing how to remove all the pillar trims on the CTS. And I actually had the same issue years ago in a Chevy Malibu. The sunroof drain tube disconnected right over the front passenger seat and caused water to run down the A-Pillar. I reattached it and put a dab of glue on it. I never had an issue again after that.

@@WorkingWithWimberley Thanks for the additional information and support! I'm hoping that the leak is not any higher than at the A pillar - I'll really be out of my element if it turns out to be anywhere above it to where any of the headliner needs to be pulled down. Fingers crossed.
