This is very helpful thanks man. I’m rebuilding the differential on my CJ7 with it’s Ford 9” rear-end today and wanted to avoid destroying that bearing or worse damaging the pinion. The pinion and ring gear is all that is salvageable from the my old diff

Just what I needed. I’m building a Toyota 8” and my pinion depth needs to be adjusted but I didn’t want to damage a new bearing trying to remove it or cut the cage off to remove it.

Bearing separator. Mine is from snap on but I'm sure you can find them other places.

get a bearing separator like he has then get the push pull attachment that usually is included and it will be able to press itself
