I have to change the drive belt on my 74 ST16. I hope my wheel comes off easy enough. I've owned my tractor for about 5 years now. I have never had the rear wheels off.

Shouldn't be too bad hopefully. I have never had a wheel stuck, hubs on the other hand I have. Have patience, use penetrating oil if you have to.

@@BillTheTractorMan I used a propane torch to heat the wheel center and whacked it with a pry tool stuck between the wheel and hub. Fell right off. The first one was cold and took 30 min beating it. Heat it first. File down the ridge on the cast hub and coat with at least lithium grease to keep it from growing new rust. Or paint it like new again.

@@BillTheTractorMan I have since had the wheels off. No issues. I still haven't replaced that worn out drive belt yet. Gonna do it soon though.

@@BillTheTractorMan I can't believe I put off changing this belt for as long as I did. I figured it would be quite the job. Turns out it was a very simple task. I will not let this go as long between belt changes as I did. Thanks for the video!

Would you be willing to sell the adjustment pulley and hardware? Also the fuel tank and one strap

Did I hear you right? Don't use a kevlar belt. Do ya happen to know the size of the belt.

Definitely use a kevlar belt. The rubber belts will not slip while engaging causing a possible dangerous situation. The rubber belts grab hard which could cause the tractor to wheelie or flip. Also need to note, I have never had a kevlar belt in good condition slip while plowing or pulling a heavy load.

The drive belt for gear drive tractors is a 5/8 x 81". Unless you have an onan, then the belt is 83" long.
