For a good time do this under a sink without turning the water off first!

House build in 1964 owners I think was scared of a nuke cause there's 3 inch of concrete in my wall so laying inverted trying to do this with a newly found roach nest but hey I found our leak roach problem what they was eating started a home remodeling project and I've stretched muscles I haven't used since basic training

lol or crawl under the house and forget to release the pressure in the lines and catch a hot stream of water to the face. We both laughed our asses off for a minute.

Just saved me from doing with out water till Lowe's opens tomorrow. I used 2 shark bites in a bathroom, one of them was fine, the other was spewing water. Cut the water back off at the road, watched this video, took the shark bite off using his method. Turns out the copper pipe had a cut in it. I cut the pipe below the cut, put the shark bite back on, and it is now leak free. My family of 5 will have running water tonight and in the morning thanks to this guy.... Thank goodness for KZbin and especially the guy that did this vid...…. Right on brother!!!! Liked and subscribed...

Thanks for taking the time to make the video! Saved me a trip to Lowe's in the middle of an already busy day. Two things I discovered; if the wrench isn't applying enough even force, a large zip tie around the pipe will press on the entire perimeter of the disassembly ring. And, if the fitting isn't securely held in place, allowing the wrench to press hard against it, it really helps to hold the pipe as the wrench is pushing on the fitting.
@jjt2me6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tip about the large (not small) zip tie. I had to resort to a combination of things, so don't know what might have been the clincher: 3-in-1 oil tip from Thomas Sulcar below (didn't do it using official tool), large zip tie (didn't do it), adjustable wrench instead of official plastic tool (didn't do it), and finally hammer the adjustable wrench--that did it!
