How to Remove a Stuck and Seized - Wheel / Tire

A seazed wheel can give you a lot of headache when you wanna do some basic maintanace on your car . Here a present you a couple of methods to get it loose . At least one of them should work .
By using the gravity , heat , lubrication and some knoledge the wheel will eventually come off .

I use a piece of wood and carefully hit the rim and tire....half n half....to not hit totally on the tire or the rim itself and this works fine.....you hit a couple times, turn the tire, hit another section, etc....until it breaks loose..... I also avoid hitting where the valve is just in case I miss ;-) The larger the piece of wood or object the better.....more weight means less hitting.....I would recommend everyone keeping something in their trunk just for that flat tire that happens and the lugs come off but the tire is stuck....trust me...you'll thank yourself later.

I may have to get my zip cutter and just cut the rim from the rotor hub. Thankfully I have another set of steel rims so its not a big deal. Thanks for the video. Skål!

You are right, this 2as my 3rd video about this matter, kind of frustrating after kicking so many time the tire, I use the piece of wood and an a 10 pounds lifting weight, and piece of cake, thanks, thanks, thank you so much for your tips

None of the proposed methods worked for me including driving with loose lugs. But what worked (for the same kind of steel rim) was using a torch to heat the rim around the center hub untill red and then spray some WD40 on it when hot and hit the rubber very hard...

Next time put a breaker bar on the lug nut, use a jack to apply pressure to the braker bar and as u are lifting take a nice size hammer and hit the lug nug. If that doesnt do it nothing will

I drove my truck to and from work with the lugs finger tight today.. I'm doing the 2x4 under half the tire after putting probably half a can of PB blaster around the outside of the hub and behind the wheel studs.. I know this steel rim has been on that brake rotor for 5 years. I may have to cut it.. but my goal still isn't doing that.

You saved the life of my rear axle and my rims. It worked with a rock/brick, it’s a little scary when the wheel pops out. I was hitting with my foot and a hammer with wood, nothing worked.

I had a stuck one today. I ended up putting on the lugs hand tight the backed them off just till they didn’t touch the wheel. Then I went up and down the block about 20mph while Turing the wheel back and forth till I heard a small pop. Took about 2 minutes then went home and hit the tire with a hammer from underneath the car and she came free the rest of the way.

It'S actually a method a lot of mechanics use for stuck wheels. As long as your nuts are on there's no danger.

I didn't do burnouts but I loosened my lug nuts 1/4 turn from finger snug and drove around the block (I did a few s turns) and it worked like magic. Nothing else was working up until that (including driving straight).
