Great video! Kicking the tires has always worked for me until today. I used a 2x10 under the edge of the tire. I had it on the outside and rocked the truck sideways. Didn't work. Tried raising it about 3" and dropping as fast as the floor jack allowed. Moved the board to the inside and dropped the truck. Success! Thank you for helping!

I tried all this and everything in comments no movement. Last resort called a mechanic mate, he said you have to belt the wall of the tyre front INSIDE out with a big hammer, 4 hits and it was off, it worked for me. Give it a go.

2x4 and shaking the truck was the only thing that got that tire off. Can't believe it worked but very grateful for the video and idea!

On the fronts you can loosen the lug nuts, start the truck and rock your steering wheel back and forth to loosen wheel.

Thank you, what worked for me was shaking the back of the truck and the wood blocks were a great idea. Put a little anti seize on the back of the wheel or brake rotor near the lugs before you re-install.

I'm surprised you are lifting your truck with the differential. I use a highlift jack at the trailer hitch. Good luck.

Lift up the opposite side of the stuck tire. That way you put the weight of the vehicle on the stuck tire at an angle

I found your video because my 19 f250 rear wheels are stuck. I will try your method tomorrow. This works great with a floor jack but I'm wondering what happens with a flat on the highway. That could suck.

I am in that situation right now! I have a 1998 Ford F150 triton XLT 4 x 4 with the driver side rear tires flat. I jacked it up with a floor jack and took the Lugnuts off and it will not come loose. I’m wondering if I could drop it on a piece of wood like he’s saying but I’m afraid it would ruin the wheel. It is the day before Thanksgiving, Wednesday, 2022 and I’m parked at the racetrack on Canton Road in Marietta Georgia. Is there anybody out there who knows anything at this hour in the morning! Please help…

It didn't work for me so I left the lug nuts loose and ran it back and forth on a concrete drive stopping fast. When I was done two nuts were tight the other two loose. The wheel was now loose and came off easy.

Did you put anything on to prevent the wheels being seized on again.
@DS-TRUCKS4 жыл бұрын
I put high temperature grease on it from now. Will probably take it off and use anti-seize.

Use some a 4x4 x 3 feet long or two nailed 2x4 x 3 feet - smack right of tire, smack left of tire with the end of it - "voila" works every time for me.

To remove a front wheel I loosened the lug nuts and used the steering to pop it loose.

Which rotation method do you use on the SuperDuty?
@DS-TRUCKS4 жыл бұрын
I just went front to back... But I'm sure I'm supposed to crossed em. I talk to PTT and he had the same issue. Good idea to do the anti seize u mentioned on your truck. Hub tend to seize..
@paulrodrigues96034 жыл бұрын
@@DS-TRUCKS I like to bring the rears forward to the front. Then crossthe fronts to the rear. That helps to get rid of any chop or scalloping from the steer axles.
@DS-TRUCKS4 жыл бұрын
That's the right way to do it...

Take a piece of wood, clean no nails, about 3ft long and a dead blow hammer. Put cloth over wood that comes in contact with rim and give that wood a good smack with dead blow hammer, it will move. Get 5lbs dead blow hammer. Peace
