Thank you so much, I downloaded an emoji app that took my phone Samsung 9 hostage per se. This app was cute but it would not allow me to use or remove. After following the steps you gave. Very old school. Very slow with technology. I notice it when I downloaded an app.( Pch) publisher clearing house sweepstakes never know how to get of the virus/malware so I put up with it for a couple of years and now I know my phone is infected but don't know where to go or how to get tid of it. I hopefully shut everything off on my but a few things. I heard about factory reset but don't know how or where to go to fix the hardware inside my phone. Very helpful thank you but I've run into a bit of a different type of problem I downloaded two photos yesterday! And I was just looking at my files today and I noticed the amount of free space a declined from 4.7 GB to 2.5 and my files App seem to identify the problem! As "large files" there were 43 of them on my phone and I have no idea how they got there they look like 43 versions of the same file I deleted all of them but what would you recommend about that? {My phone seems to be back to normal now}. I'll delete the two photos as well just in case one of them was of my younger brother that my mom sent to me in an email.

I was looking up hair products, clicked on an article - supposedly related - and up came an unwanted website, didn't download anything, left the site, and deleted all searches about those products. Tried all methods: none worked. "Download and install apps from Unknown sources" keeps enabling automatically without my knowledge and apps are auto downloaded and installed by itself.. how to fix it ? Malwarebytes doesn't shows any threat inside. My device rooted (just bcoz of fixing this problem) Safemode also not shown any unusual apps. Even it prevails after flashing my mobile to its original rom (at service center) Any idea to fix this issue ?

A good way to remove notifications from Chrome is by going into setting go to chrome and delete data it deletes everything even the website the gave you that virus

I don’t download any apps from outside the playstore. I don’t see anything odd. I use virus scanning apps often. But the phone freezes. Switches itself off and occasionally installs 4 games… they are always the same games. I uninstall them but it makes no difference.

I have a samsung A50 and it is stuck on the blue tracfone screen. It happened when I clicked on a facebook reel and turned my phone sideways. Just froze and I had to force it off by pressing power and volume down. I got it into recovery mode and wiped cache partition but still nothing. next step is factory reset but I'll lose all my photos. Is there a way to transfer the photos to my laptop? Hello, Helping a family member with their phone. Something in their phone is constantly trying to pop up ads on the phone's chrome app. You leave the phone standing there for a few minutes and chrome automatically opens up by itself with a spam pop-up ad to go to some website. I've downloaded several malware and virus apps and none of them find anything. I go into Chrome settings and, wipe all the data and cache. Leave the phone for a bit, and Chrome opens by itself wanting you to sign in to go to these spam pages/pop ups. I went in the downloaded apps and nothing seems out of place. Any body got any ideas on how to find a virus/malware that is on the phone but can't locate it?

@@brandonguindon1056 In the end, I just updated everything on the phone. From the software to the apps. Once the phone software itself was updated, problem went away. So it was probably an outdated phone ware that someone was trying to exploit, and disappeared once the software updated.
