I was trying to get a drum out for use on another project. I didn't have to be nearly as gentle as you since the washer was headed to the trash, but despite tearing into it, I was stuck when it came to the shocks. This video helped me with my Hotpoint WDD960. Thanks guys! I was attempting to replace the front counterweight but couldn't remove the front panel, as it is welded in place... had to do a disassembly. This video helped me cover the key parts of my washing machine.

Excellent videos, i would suggest to watch all 4 before tackling the bearing change, the parts supplied were genuine, fast dispatch . i would recommend and will certainly use again, but hopefully not for a while. i did the bearing change as instructed and well pleased with the results. THANK YOU.

Excellent, thank you! I’d add about the white plug things - mine seemed to stop and hit something just before the end. I eventually got them out by rotating them widely and squeezing them so they fit through the last bit of the channel. 😊

G'day mate, I've just pulled down one of these ol Hoover 540's to salvage the SS bowl as a fire bucket for my camp at Angledool. Do you have any advice on how to remove the pulley wheel please.

learnt alot from these w.machine repair vids, its turned out that am extremely fortunate, when i began to dismantle my machine-a serviscaress( M3009A) to replace the bearings set, i found my drum had a back plate which meant i didn't have to remove anything but the top & back of the machine, i had to unscrew a couple of earth connections from the motor to the element,oh then removed a large brace/collar type thing, (abit like a massive jubilee clip) but after taking the belt of n pulley, i only had to wiggle the back plate out n job was a good'n...had the drum out in a jiffy...now lets just hope i remember how it goes back together ! thnx 4 the vid :)

Hi, the videos are great. I have a Hotpoint Aquarius washing machine for the last 5 years. Over the last few days it has started to move across the floor when on the spin cycle. Just replaced our Hotpoint after 9 years use. Thought I'd take it apart to get it in the boot of my E46. Well the fucking thing is spot welded together. The only part that is removable is the top. I crow bared the thing apart. Then the plastic drum housing was sealed solid, I had to saw it off. Then the spider needed removing as it made the drum too big to fit in the boot. Guess what.. that was stuck solid and needed a crow bar and a lot of leverage before it released. I then crow bared the front face off then managed to fold the rest flat. Now I have a Hotpoint that fits in the boot of an E46 😆
