I tried this, and YES, it works!!!!! I used White vinegar and purified water, following the directions to the "T." Thanks for this one.

It really worked great on fabric sofa . Thank you so much 😊Can I use the same method to clean velvet chair?

Bro it doesn’t make your page look any worse to say it takes 3-4 passes. This is clearly a fresh water stain made for the video so it came up in one pass. Anyone who has this kind of stain (caused from hard water (tap water) spilled on cotton. This technique is GREAT. Just takes multiple times. For a 1 month old water stain it took me 4 rounds.

@jeromybrackemyer4026 Thanks for sharing your experience and tips. You're absolutely right; it's important to be transparent about the process. In the video, it actually took us two passes to get that result, and we've got a detailed guide on our website for those who are curious about the specifics. Here’s the link to dive deeper into the process: revolutionfabrics.com/blogs/gotcha-covered/how-to-remove-water-stains-from-your-sofa-or-couch. Additionally, it's worth noting that while cotton or other natural fibers might require a bit more elbow grease, our Revolution Fabric, made from polypropylene, is inherently stain-resistant and easier to clean, making it a more user-friendly option for everyday spills and stains. Appreciate your feedback!

do we have to wait for it to dry before repeating the process?
@RevolutionPerformanceFabrics7 ай бұрын
@@janaubreytampos6976 Great question! You don't need to wait for it to be completely dry before repeating the process. If it's partially dry and you notice a visible ring, feel free to go ahead with another round. :)

Can you use regular vinegar? Or does it have to be distilled?
@RevolutionPerformanceFabrics3 ай бұрын
We used distilled because it has less acidity than regular vinegar. It worked great, so we recommend distilled. If you use regular vinegar, let us know how it turns out!

did you try regular? how’d it go?!

I have distilled vinegar, but do I have to use distilled water? Will other water work? Thanks!
@RevolutionPerformanceFabrics6 ай бұрын
Hi @n2nanci, distilled water is a must! Other water (like tap) may leave more sediment/minerals behind which may lead to another water ring. Distilled water doesn't have these sediments.

Does this work on a polyester couch?
@RevolutionPerformanceFabrics2 ай бұрын
Hi there! This method should work on a polyester couch. It's best to test a small area of your sofa. Try a cushion you can flip over if needed.

@lucyatwork3655 We have only tried this with Revolution Performance Fabric, made from polypropylene fibers. You could buy a yard of similar linen upholstery fabric to test first.

Will this work on a velvet sofa?
@RevolutionPerformanceFabrics6 ай бұрын
Hi, @avasymone6395 - While this method has been proven on Revolution Performance Fabrics, we can't speak to it's use on other types of material. You may want to reach out to the furniture manufacturer or the retail store you bought the velvet sofa from. They should be able to provide you cleaning instructions. :)

@RevolutionPerformanceFabrics4 ай бұрын
Hey, JB! Minerals left behind by tap water will create the stain. Distilled water doesn't have those elements to leave behind. Try again a few times with distilled water and you should be good to go! We hope this helps. :)

@@RevolutionPerformanceFabrics so I’m doing this on polyester that’s white with a hint of tan. And what seems to be the issue is it’s just darkening it?? Make a darker almost brownish stain all over now?? Is this normal? Is it supposed to get worse before it gets better?

Hi Spencer! Using apple cider vinegar instead of distilled white vinegar is like using dish soap to shampoo your hair - not quite the result we're after. Give it a try with distilled white vinegar next time and get back to us! 👍
@limoncellosmith75942 ай бұрын
Apple cider vinegar is NOT the vinegar he recommends, so no wonder it didn't work? Can't you see that it is yellowish in color? You don't want that on a white sofa!!
