I want to say thank you so much. I have an Arrow stapler I couldn’t use for over a year. Followed your instructions and it was the same problem you showed. Pulled out the jammed staple with needle nose pliers. Saved me from buying new. Working great, now back to building birdhouses.

Thanks for the inspiration. TIP: if you repeatedly get jammed staples, then check out the spring/pusher mechanism that keeps the staples engaged to the end of the loading dock. Do this while the mechanism is uninstalled from the stapler. If you find it getting jammed along the race, then you will always get jammed staples. Take a mill file and file the sides of the pushing mechanism (the upside "U" shaped thing). Dont go crazy, but file away on the faces for 20-60seconds. Test it in the race again. If its still getting stuck and not sliding freely, file again. Once it slides in easily under the power of the spring, use some spray grease (I used lithium) on the race to help the spring move. It will glide. No more jammed staples. I should make a video of this and earn money from it.

Kevin, get a powershot, the handle presses in at the opposite end, much easier to press all day. They run about $20 now but look at yard sales. I just use a little 3 in1 household oil on the spring, (sewing machine oil works really well) and it rarely jambs. Good video btw!

I bought one and it didnt work for crap and always jammed. If you look at other reviews on Home Depot it seems many others dislike it also. I also found it wouldnt drive staples flush with the materials. I really liked the feel and mechanics but it was a no go for me. I stick with my old beat up arrow t50

I have a Trojan stapler and with it you don’t have to unbolt the mechanism. It pivots on the bolt you unscrewed and you just need to slide the mechanism back using two finger holds on the mechanism. With yours you may be able to just push the mechanism back with a screwdriver between the nubs to release the mechanism and pivot it out to clear. Simply then just click it back into place.
