I'm trying to remove the radio on a 99 Sierra, I don't have any slack in the wires and can only pull the radio out about an inch. Going to have to find a plan B

I figured it out, had to pull the cd player out first and disconnect the wiring harness, the cd player is a separate unit below the cigarette lighter and 12v power points on my particular vehicle.

If you use a compatible radio it should be plugging in the same plugs to the same holes, and he never mentioned installing speakers
