Pressure about the weight of a bottle of water is the best analogy I think you could've made. Extremely helpful narration and video. Well done!

I have a few watches where the second hand has become detached but the watches aren’t really worth a potentially pricey trip to a watchmaker. I’ll send off for the tools I don’t already have which will likely pay for themselves within a couple of repairs so thanks for this walkthrough.

Ohh that does suck but I’m glad this video will help you out! It’s exactly why I wanted to put this out there. Best of luck reattaching the hands my friend. Thanks for checking out the video 🤝

Please help!: When i put the second hand on, the movement stops. Why is this? When i remove the second hand again, the watch continues to move as normal.

Interesting. 🤔 I don’t think I have experienced that problem before my self. @Dadmodswatches might have the answer. I’ll send your question to him to see if he knows. My guess would be that the hand isn’t properly attached tho it may seem that way when you push down on it.

@@alfredboling3779 so here are a few reasons why this is happening 1. Faulty or interference on the pinion 2. The movement is damaged some where in the transfer or regulation of power 3. You think the second hand is sitting correctly but it isn’t properly installed. Question for you. Have you applied to much pressure on to the pinion? About the pressure of a water bottle sitting on top of your hand is all you need.

Sweet bro!! Hands are a bitch for my blind ass so I have to use a cheater bar. I use the rodico to pick up the hand leaving just the applied sticking out. Second hand is always touchy😊
