How To Remove And Paint An Evo X and Ralliart Valve Cover ( Part 1 Removal And Paint Prep )

Hey guys so today i decided to remove and repaint my valve cover as I'm not happy with the paint job I previously did.
It's a little daunting to do the first time but really is quite easy so ill be walking you through it.
in this video which is part 1 ill be showing you how to remove and prep the valve cover for paint, i also stripped the previous paint off and show you my set up for the painting process.

What IC and bov piping do you have? They look great

Thanks mate, the IC piping is hyperflow and the BOV piping is from eBay I'm unsure of the brand. I'm actually about to paint them wrinkle black as I'm not thinking the polished look suits it much anymore

Is that a blue K&N filter? Where did you get it? Been trying to find one for my ets intake...

It is I just got it from autobarn which is an Australian parts store. It's not as big as the K&N pod that comes with the ETS intske though

Thanks mate they're prosport struts and I got them from car mods Australia but they can be found on eBay

Where did u get that carbon fiber coil pack cover?

Did u have to get the oil out before you take off the cover ?

No i left the oil in there and just covered everything up once i removed the valve cover

Aluminum cover or oem

OEM aluminium cover was what I had but I have had a people message me that have the plastic valve cover from the later models follow this video and paint theirs using the same paint.
