How to remove and replace the emergency brake / handbrake cover and leather on a Mini Cooper

SThis video describes step by step, how to remove the ebrake handle, leather, and base clip assembly on a mini cooper (R50, R52, R53)
I couldn't find a video that correctly described in detail how to do I so I figured I'd make my own and help others out. The money shot is at 1:45

Due, you rock... I bought a new brake handle and it didn't come with instructions... found some instructions on the internet as a pdf but they didn't have any details... You saved me man... The new one looks great, and I got to clean and re-use the old leather I had... Thank You!!!

So, the boot/gaiter can be replaced without removing the handbrake handle? After I clip the factory zip-tie, the boot can be pulled off with the handle still in place? The pleather boot in my car has cracked in a couple of places, so a leather replacement would be nice.

Hey, I have a weird question. I have an R52, and I want to push the car short distances with the handbrake halfway engaged for a leg workout. It would only be about 100 feet of that sort of movement every week. Could this damage anything? Thanks.
