How to remove and replace the rear bumper on your Audi A3 8L

In this video I will show you how to remove and replace/refit the bumper on your Audi A3 8L
This is a quick easy job and it's just a case of knowing where to unbolt everything - it will make for quick car repairs/painting and access for anything else you may want to do.

How do you take bolts out of crash bar front behind rear bumer

Once the bumper is off behind the bar it's held on with 4 bolts each side (could be torx bits it's a while ago now since I did this)

Ahh reviewing the footage I remember - undo the nut - tbh I think on mine they broke and I think there's one through the centre hole. I know mine was well bonded so needed a pry bar and a tug to come off. Sorry been a while and looking at pics the bunch of bolts is the front bar.

I'm afraid I never quite got around to it with the main A3 as it was written off in a crash. The main areas are the plastic pop rivets above, the arches and there are a few screws just below.

Not sure on difference with the 8L facelift. This was a parts car that I drove for a weekend or so then stripped for my daily. However it had a nicer shell and was better for some videos. So yea the brakes were not great, however other things were much worse...
