@@THEELGAR any ideea on this : i got an F01 with 4 left buttons (lane departure and the other warnings)… it has already had a wheel change from the previous owner to the new model, but it seems my warning do not work, im thinking .. if the new wheel has no vibrations to make all that work .. could that be an issue for the errors… or dors it need coding? But im thinking the last owner would have coded it since he bought and installed it… ot it can simply not be the wheels fault for my warnings not working.. whats ur opinion on this?

It looks very much the same as BMW's standard M Sport from 3 & 4 series, but seller profiles suggest that these are not compatible with the BMW 5 GT Series F07?

It’s similar but not the same. If you’re upgrading, make sure you get a wheel from another F30 and make sure the spec and all connectors are the same.

Great video -simple as a pie... no wonder why thieves are smashing windows and steeling peoples BMW steering wheels. I would encourage all BMW owners to put a steering lock that covers the air bag to avoid total disappointment, when one morning you see your windows smashed and steering stolen and now you have to spend no less than a £1,000 to replace it. Stay safe 🙂

Back when these first came out my dad got a new 5 series fully loaded with the m sport package and steering wheel. He didn’t get his windows tinted when he first got the car so anytime he parked it people would be looking inside the car staring at the steering wheel. 3 years ago he passed the car down to me and the steering wheel still gets compliments.

F01 F07 F10 F11 F12 F13 are all the same. Other models are a little different. Mine was off F07 2012 5 series GT. You need to make sure that the new wheel has the same options as the old one.

If your old wheel already has paddles then should be the same, just a simple swap. But if youre planning to upgrade to paddles then there is wiring to do and also some programming if im right. 👍

I tried this today and all was in order until I tried to fit the new steering wheel . The new steering wheel did not have a cut out for the plastic pig like the old one had. Is there a specific steering wheel model or something I missed cuz it said it would fit my model and all but them two plastic teath wont fit in any hole. In your video you have the same plastic teath on the bottom on the plate so I guess you had them cut out for the new one?

Hi. I did not have to modify the new wheel it was a simple swap with no cutting. Are you sure you got the right wheel? Double check with seller. What model and year is yours?

Well it’s a 2011 535d. The steering wheel an all looks the same as yours it is just the back plate of the new one don’t have the cus out for them two plastic teath like the old one had. I couls maby send you a pic on it and it would bee real nice if you could show the back of your steering wheel or maby have some number I could tell the dealer to check for. Thanks for the respond!
