Thank you sooo much for your video! You saved my life! My driveway had tar tire tracks up it. I followed your advice and bought the Zep Floor Stripper. I poured it on, used a wire brush to scrub it and then power washed it away. It worked wonders! Thanks again!

Won't the pain stripper dissolve the sealcoat on the driveway when the power washer overspray gets on it? It's a bit diluted but it's still chemically active.

I used an angle grinder with a wire brush attachment (cup brush). Lean into it a little bit and it'll take off that tar. Using it in conjunction w/ the paint remover might be the best bet though

So I experimented a little bit with the chemicals. Used degreaser and paint thinner (separately). They worked at loosening up the tar, but caused it to "melt in" to the porous concrete and stain things. I wouldn't recommend chemicals, I'd suggest an angle grinder w/ a wire brush wheel, based on my experience.

thats why you need to saturate the concrete with water first then proceed to using the chemicals

I got tar on side of garage which is stucco finish it runs 4 feet long 1 foot high, I never messed with it for all years I lived here but want to try to remove it, guess I will experiment with different removing cleaners I just can't figure out why this tar stuff was there in the first place?

You should clean the whole sidewalk portion. People that do the sealing; should cover/protect those areas with heavy drop-clothes.

I used a 3200 PSI Pressure washer set to 25 degrees to clean cement/concrete portion of driveway addition, it didn't get the sealant splatter, don't use direct stream setting, it could cut into the cement/concrete.

The crazy prepper in me wishes someone did a better job at getting those weeds and debris out of the crack dividing your sidewalk from the driveway! A stiff wire brush and a simple scrapper or even a screw driver heck lots of ways to make it clean for seal coating.
