This every informative. I wanted to do this in 15 minutes, but now I see it takes more time, like two days or something. I won't do it tonight, it is freezing outside and dark.

Very good "explanation" of how to get this job done, without background music, stuff like that :) I replaced the resistor (Renault parts) the same way weeks ago . The fan quit work instantly, without prenotification. In fact, the old resistor looked fairly used. Now ventilation works, that´s pretty good. Unfortunately, now ventilation speedlevel 1,2 and 3 blows at the speed of level 3. Level 4 blows at full speed, that´s perfect. Year of construction of our Twingo is 2006. Is there the possibility of the fan itself got some damage? The wiring looks good, too, no obvious damages. Do you maybe have an idea, what the error could be? Many thanks!

my english is bad but i will try to explain it to you. There may be more problems, If you put a used resistor, it may be defective, it has wire coils on it that provide resistance for each speed (which you probably saw on it), which leads to a possible other cause. When setting the resistance you do not have much space, it is possible that you bent some of the resistance wires and thus made a connection between them and thus caused a short circuit which results in the same motor speed because the resistance is the same in all stages on the switch except 4 speed because it goes directly without resistance In any case, the fault is on the resistance itself if the motor is running. Somewhere on it you have a short circuit between 1.2 and 3 speeds (three coils on it)

@@tehnicalife Thank you for your detailed answer. The resistor I have used for replacement is a brand new one. So I believe it´s the case the wire coils have gotten contact with one another during installation. I am gonna open the box once more and have a look at it.

@TehnicaLife I opended the panel once more...and yes, the wire coils had contact. Fixed it and it works fine :)

@@tehnicalife i changed the resistor for another used one but it only lasted two weeks and failed again. does anybody have any suggestion what can cause this?
@crpth12 жыл бұрын
@@romanherda6354 - Higher resistance in the circuit is a definitive way to shorten the components life span. With this said make sure your fan assembly is clean and moves freely. Leaves, twigs, rust and dust... they all contribute to the problem (WD40 spray can help a bit). Also make sure all electrical contacts are clean. Nevertheless! DO not use a "used one". Most probably that one was already close to the end of it's life! . I know the price of a used part is more attractive. But the perspective of disassembling that mess twice (or more) to chase the same problem, is not enticing at all. Cheers ;-)

Grazie . Hai fatto un video molto utile. E' necessario smontare i fili d'acciaio dietro le manopole che regolano il flusso dell'aria?

Hello, on my air conditioning, speeds 1, 2 and 3 no longer work but 4 works correctly, could it be a problem with the resistance?

check if there is air in the system (coolant) and if the valve in the cabin opens and closes when you switch from cold to warm

I liked this video! But still have questions. Is it necessary to drill all screws of many panels to "open up" the dashboard to find the resistor?
@gotobedandtickler2 жыл бұрын
No drilling, he has used a torx bit in a reversible drill.
