Perfect! Have to do this tomorrow as I had a big flood into my Avant, looks like it came in via a deteriorated pollen filter housing, which is apparently far too common on these. Very possible my ECU could be flooded so need to get that out ASAP! Do I have to disconnect the battery to do this, as you didn't say? Many thanks

Hi The climate controls On My Audi a4b8 do not appear on The MMI screen I have tried to access 07 control module with OBD 11 PRO but module will not respond so do I need to replace comfort control module?

After torrential rain in Ireland, my doors stopped working with the key fob, my windows stopped working, boot & fuel cap cover, took out the CCM box under the seat on the passenger side and the light to say the boot is on went off there was water in the CCM's housing box too. It's on my skoda superb from 2005 the PD 130 model, I ordered a new one it's due tomorrow it has the same model number as my old one, do you think it will be a straight swap or will I have to do some programming for it?

@@Osvaldo-pw2lc Didn't have to program mine, I had to get the second key and put in the drivers side door lock and press the buttons on it and have the main key in the ignition. Be sure to check your fuse if your have problems, mine went a second time and second time I swapped out the fuse and it fixed mine. Not 100% sure but think it was fuse number 14 or else 9 but google it and you will find out

Hello great videos.Will this be similar procedure on later model agents from around 2004? Also are the modules coded to the car? My colleague went through a puddle so I'm guessing the module is what is causing issues

Yes, it depends on the model of course, but many have this same type of set up. Hi. I didn't program mine. But you can program each one yourself if you do it right. I program mine without any help. The car will automatically program each module if you do it properly

Hello i have a question. Is it safe to disconnect the ccm and drive around without it? I have my hazards stay on all the time like low beams. Switched the relay but norhing. My carpet wet where the module should be so im planning to remove the module and leave it indoor to dry but i need to drive around and etc. So my question is it safe to drive around without the module connected? Will i be having more problems later after connecting it or all should be fine and it wont mess anything up?

The CCM usually connects to the immobilizer, so you probably won't be able to start the car without it. Removing it would also give you multiple terminal 30 open circuit issues and low voltage across multiple sensors as well as disrupting the can bus data feed. You back up lights are also controlled by the CCM. So ya, don't take it out.

Never disconnect the battery supply that will throw your codes out and you will have to go too the dealership

Does this module have anything to do with my sound in my car... I change the amplifier and now I only have sound coming out of one door... my driver side... and my driver side window is acting funny as well with going up and down.. and I brought a brand new switch and it’s still having a problem going up and down but my main concern is my music in my car... the inside of my car had gotten wet then everything with my sound happened no spun at at until I got the amplifier and then I got sound but only out of the driver door...at this point I don’t know what’s wrong... oh I have 2008 Audi A6 Quattro A-line..

First of all, do some research into blocked drainage holes, and this was the most likely cause. Next you'll have to remove the module and check it for damage, or get a replacement one. Hey, can tell me why water is found at the bottom of the driver seat? Around the Control Module, I keep finding water down there which shortage my module out.

Is your car an Avant model? If so, this is likely a leaking washer fluid pipe or pipe joint. There is a pipe that feeds washer fluid to the rear that passes under the carpet here. Usually green plastic. It has a join near where you left foot would sit from memory, and that often pops off. You'll want to pop the front carpet up and find this find and inspect it. Could be other things also, but that would be the first thing to check. Very common issue. Ok so I ordered replacement ccm for my 05 Audi A4 quattro 1.8t all part numbers match when I swapped it over the hazard lights go crazy for a few minutes then stop till I open a door or turn the key ,put old one back in no crazy hazard lights just want to get door locks working and alarm do you think the bad ccm tripped the alarm system immobilizer the alarm horn is unplugged cause it doesn't stop making noise

Yes, you can usually get a look at it. Just put the seat all the way back and you should be able to manipulate the carpet up enough to get a peek inside. hello genius !! I have audi A4 2006 and the comfort control module my mechanic told me that it is broken, the glass and the door control do not work! my question is that mine ends with two letters that are BC, and I could find CG, they both have the same numbers but only the letters change at the end !! I tried the new one but nothing worked, should I put a code for this to work or how should I do it?

With the comfort control modeul itself we would recommend replacing only with another unit that has a 100% indentical part number. The letters at the end are generally the revision code, and if it does not match then there is a chance of it not being compatible or you having issues. That said, your unit may have been superseded, and Audi can advise the latest part number for your exact part. Replacig it with the superceed one of course is ok. Best option is to buy used on eBay and wait until one with the exact same number comes up. Hey there world, I have a problem with my "13" A8. When I turn the steering wheel it's making the engine go into neutral and sometimes even killing the car completely, it seems like this is so rare of a problem that even audi is having a hard time figuring out what the cause is... can anyone has heard of anything like this ever happening and have a solution can you please help...thank you and everyone stay safe!!

Asking because there is little info on this subject only that it's somewhere behind the front bumper and nothing else. And is it possible to access without removing the bumper?

Yes, it is on the bumper bar. Unfortunately I cannot recall offhand whether you can access it on the C5 without removing the bumper. I'm thinking likely not, but worth a look underneath before you remove the bumper just in case. On the RS6 things are very tight for space, but on smaller engined models access may be better!
