How To Remove Creosote From Outdoor Boiler!

HI everyone today we cleaned out the outdoor wood boiler finally! This is a once a year creosote clean out to help pro long the life of the unit! Its important to clean the creosote out because moisture can form between the metal and the buildup and cause rusting! Hope you guys enjoy! I don't understand why you need to clean. I had a outside wood burner made from propane tanks never cleaned the inside all that crap inside burns out when you get to 180 or if you're really bothered by it fill with cardboard. I personally don't see any need just my opinion.

A round propane tank will clean out easier than these. These have weird angles and 90 degree pockets so ocassionally it needs a scrub. Ive had massive fires coming out the chimney and still doesnt get it all.

@@HomesteadJay you wouldn’t believe the amount of nails I pulled out. Mostly from previous owner. My heatmor has grates for the fan and nails get all jammed down below making clean outs difficult

Where did you get the Whiz Wheel for cleaning the boiler? I've scraped the big clumps of creosote with a paint scraper, but there is still a bit on the walls inside.

I had a clip of what I use on the makita but the file was corrupt so I couldn’t use it. I’ll make a video on it coming up! It’s a 3m disk but I’ll get the official info so you can get them. They work great and don’t remove any metal!
