Does your computer monitor have tiny dead insects that somehow wedged themselves between the outer and inner screen layers? Use this method to remove them from view WITHOUT taking anything apart!

It's bad that manufacturers don't seal their LCD panels. If an ant dies and gets stuck between layers, it's so complicated to get it out without full disassembly, and I doubt that warranty would cover it. But warranty should cover such cases because it's really the manufacturer's fault they leave the panel unsealed.

Thank you! Combination of the vibration and a small suction cup (to pull the front away a bit) worked great. Fell down, but not fully under the bottom bezel. More vibration eventually got it into the corner and no longer visible. Again... thank you. I'm sure everybody that needed your video had the same experience... @@DannoKaBlammo Yeah I have a Dell U2412M and it's an incredible hassle to remove the bezel, lift the protective layer off and clean it thoroughly so that absolutely nothing is between the layers, last time it took me 90-120 minutes for the entire procedure being afraid the whole time I was going to crack the LCD panel or the protective layer, but I had no choice as I didn't found out it was a bug until I squished it through the screen. This time there was a bug about in the middle for months and it probably died, but just a few moments of touching the rotating bit (not the brushes) just above the bug and it just dropped away immediately. This is for those who still have a live bug in their screen: I created a black document in Photoshop and over than a layer with a small 16 pixel wide white circle which I can move around with arrow keys (fullscreen mode). I place it RIGHT next to the bug and it seems it is drawn to the white pixels and sometimes tries to reach it. If you don't have Photoshop, just create a completely black picture, view in it fullscreen and use your mouse cursor as a guide. So far I've had some limited results with this "game", bug moved about 1 1/2 inches towards the bottom.

If you want to go through the trouble, you can disassemble your monitor, carefully pull the protective layer off the lcd and clean it. Be careful though since both the lcd panel as well as the protective layer are very fragile and can shatter very easily, it might be very hard to open the monitor up and you must make sure you have very soft and very clean cloths to clean it off, with a tiny bit of water if required. I've done it before and was dreading having to do it again, but as long as you haven't squished it the toothbrush trick works wonders.

There is a huge layer between the outer glass and the LCD panel. I just tried the vibration method but unfortunately it doesnt work. I think i need to take out that outer glass panel first then attached the vibrating tooth brush directly on the LCD panel in order for this method to work. I will test it in a few days as i need to order a pair of suction cup in order to take out the glass layer. Will report later. Thanks for this brilliant idea i have confidence that it will work. Thanks for your video - your method worked. I bought a $ 7 kiddies electric tooth brush yesterday. I had 2 ants, both close to the top of my screen. I spent about 10 minutes on each yesterday. The head of one ant broke away and moved further than the rest of the ant when I smacked to top of my Monitor. This morning I had another try spending about 3 minutes trying to move them with the vibrations. Looked like I was getting nowhere fast but with repeated and hard taps on the top of the screen the headless ant fell away - out of sight. The 2nd ant dropped down about 1/4 of the screen. The head is still where it was yesterday. Then this evening I tried again. Vibrated the head and 2nd Ant. Nothing happened until I hit the to of the screen again and the 2nd Ant dropped away out of sight. The head of the 1st ant is still where it was yesterday. I will keep on trying every day until it moves (maybe not enough weight?) but I can live with a stuck head. It is just a dot on the screen. I have placed ant baits in my office to kill the nest and hopefully keep them away from my screen. Update : I just had another go at removing the head and got the same result as before. Then I tied tapping the bottom of my screen (about 5 cm above the frame) with 4 fingers - and the head dropped down very easily.

In my case, the toothbrush didn't really work. The bug kept holding on. So I decided to use a fascia massage gun that I keep around to release muscle pain. Yeah, really! It took a lot of effort to be honest with you. But it worked (though, the bug fell apart, so I had to chase out more parts). You just need to set the gun to the highest vibration frequency and keep it close to the screen and hold it steady. Try different positions and pressures, it should move the bug eventually! Don't be worried too much about the screen, if it's a good screen, it'll take it without any damage.
@droids1730 Жыл бұрын

Experiment with various angles and frequencies. Instead of targeting the bug directly, consider "massaging" other areas of the screen, such as sides or edges. That sort of approach may induce the ideal screen vibrations and frequency. Sounds strange but it worked for me :D

I have a tablet and I don’t think I own an electric toothbrush. I do have some sort of vibrating massage thing that’s pretty big though. Also the bug inside my screen is an ant and it died unfortunately so now I’m stuck. What do I do?

I’ve accidentally squished a bug on my gaming monitor thinking it was on the surface but I’ve killed it underneath the screen. I’ve tried this method and it doesn’t work neither does the suction cup, do I have to wait for the bug to dry out or actually get It opened?

I got mine stuck to bro idk what to do

@@fisterblister probably have to wait for the bug to dry out then try the method again i guess and if that doesn’t work gonna have to get someone to clean it cause my ocd is going crazy

Saw another video where a guy took a suction cup like the kind you see on gps car mounts and he pulled the protective screen out a bit (very very gently) in order to create more space between the panel and the screen. That method combined with this one seems pretty promising.

Thick duct tape with a piece stuck together in the middle as a "handle" might work too.

I tried using my gun body massager and it also works. make sure to not put so much pressure because it might crash your screen/monitor.

THANK YOU!!!! I tried using my controller to vibrate the screen but it didn't work, so i tried smashing the top and the ant just comically fell, once again, thank you!

I don't have an electric toothbrush but I followed your idea of whacking the top of the screen. Actually it's more like tapping it with fingers as fast as possible and the dead ant dropped at the very bottom and it is gone for good.
