Nice tool, good brand. I'd break the surface of the tiles though first with a hammer then use the rotary hammer. Easier on the tool that way. Great video!

For drilling into a thick concrete pad for Concrete Anchor Bolts would a regular twist/key chuck hammer drill be sufficient or should I go get a cheapish 18v SDS+ drill? (I have plenty of batteries for the one I'm looking at which is the Black and Decker 18v SDS+ Rotary Hammer Drill) Because I can see it being useful for maintaining some of my outdoor power equipment with the addition of a chuck adapter and socket set extensions where my B&D Impact Driver wouldn't be sufficient especially for removing the blades on my ride on mower. Because using a breaker bar sucks.

turning the blade 90 degrees so you can get under the tile at a better angle is a good suggestion.

Use a dedicated breaker instead of a rotary and your result would be a lot better. Higher Joules in a similar size package.

It looked like more work but that tool made light work of the adhesive that was left and my experience has been that without the hanmer drill that is where all the work is

Do you think with a sharper bit it would work for removing lino paper backing?
@Methodical28 ай бұрын
You were using the hammer drill at a bad (too steep) angle to get under the tile. You should've turned the tool side ways so it's laying on it's side with the chisel flat against the floor. This would've eliminated all the manual work you had to do.

in any hummer drill there are 4 switch modes, where a circle is drawn, this is the mode where you can rotate the blade manually in any position. you look at the hummer drill like that, as if you hold it in your hands for the first time.

@@goldenultra when you go to reinstall, backbutter your tiles with a notched trowel. Apply your tile adhesive in one direction instead of figure 8 so you don't get air pockets trapped under the tile. Good luck with your project bro
