Great video and wonderful tree. I’m developing some winter hazel from nursery stock at the moment and would love to see more as there is little available on this wonderful species.

Hi, excellent timing! I will be doing mine... may I suggest a video on pots? I remember your great interview with Nao but I can't find much good info on pots (what makes a good old pot in particular) anyway, could you recommend a book on Oriental pots with more than photos, size, maker? Beautiful tree/pot. Thank you.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful winter Hazel, Andrew. I love the purple pot you have it paired with. Have you worked with many different cultivars?

Yes I've worked with a few and if they're the only thing you can find I wouldn't rule them out. However my two old ones are just regular Corylopsis spicata and I tend to prefer working with the straight species

I have but my two old ones are plain Corylopsis spicata and I usually find working with the straight species (with any plant) to be the most rewarding

What a gorgeous tree - the branch movement and cascading golden flowers are truly a work of art! What kind of light conditions does this species enjoy?
