I remember your great interview with Nao but I can't find much good info on pots (what makes a good old pot in particular) anyway, could you recommend a book on Oriental pots with more than photos, size, maker? Yes I've worked with a few and if they're the only thing you can find I wouldn't rule them out. However my two old ones are just regular Corylopsis spicata and I tend to prefer working with the straight species

I have but my two old ones are plain Corylopsis spicata and I usually find working with the straight species (with any plant) to be the most rewarding

I usually use my fingers with a twisting motion to remove azalea flowers
