That black is just a ground to stop electrical interference inside the tank so your car doesn’t go up in a ball of flames

It's just 2 pink and black. Pink is for the fuel gauge. black is just a ground goes under the back bumper

I have a Monte Carlo 1987 I recently went to get a tune on it because it was acting up when I step on the gas still kind of choked but now everything's okay I got it back from the mechanic it's only been a week one thing I know it is that my fuel pump just sounded a little bit louder yesterday I only drove it for like 20 minutes in a fuel pump got Extremely Loud Like a humming sound I posted a video on my channel you can check it out my fuel system how it is and how it sounds my car lost power yesterday not electrical but more power like no fuel was running through does this mean my fuel pump is going bad it's an electrical you can see it on my channel or does it mean it's not getting enough power if you can help me out a bit I will appreciate it I just can't really find any mechanic that can work on my car

@@towcars5550 it sounds like a fuel pump issue. External fuel pumps [ones outside of the gas tank ] are loud that's what a lot o people rather go with intank pump. Can you connect the obd2 and do a llive scan to see how everything is working? Wats your fuel pressure?

James Jon on these cars or 70s 80s it comes from under the back bumper . I'm not sure if it's runs thru the frame to the back or I think It might run to the back thru the tail light wiring going to the rear lights. It's a pink one. Maybe it ripped off, fell off and it's tucked away I'll check next time I'm under the car. Thanks for watching salute.
